"With Hestril gone, humanity rejoiced at their second chance, thanking the elemental gods. The gods, however, would never be the same again. In sealing away Hestril, they had removed the source of their stability. Over time the benevolent gods we grew to trust forsook their bond to us, and once again the earth was plunged into fear. The town of Frostbain, far away from the frozen waste and a town devoted to Agni, the god and goddess of fire, was frozen overnight. Plunged into an eternal winter."

Overview of Frostbain

Frostbain lies near the tip of the snowy tundra before the plains of the North. Players can be found stocking up on potions for the trip upward, or for a dungeon run of Frostbain Catacombs. Inside the church, there is a Fire symbol also present at Agni Ignis and the Fire Spire. The Statue of Agni is also located South from the town.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• The Frostbain Catacombs were opened on the October 30th of 2013. A minimum of three players WAS required to complete the dungeon, since the rework on ?? only two players are required. More are advised due to the difficult boss.
• There are lakes for permanent water refill and healing by staying in them for a while.
• There is a fair chance hostile players may be here due to the decent potion chests.
• The Snow Cabin is located Southwest from here. Though the mountain to the west must be climbed to reach it, it is the closest place to Frostbain with a brewing stand.
• To access the mil_epic chest, players must parkour to the top of the windmill. Though the parkour is moderately hard, a fall will not kill the player if their health is full.
• Many bandits or teams head to Frostbain to stock up on health potions and higher tiered military gear.
• Zombies can be safely fought from the walkway around the windmill. They will not be able to reach players on the wooden planks.
• The entrance to the dungeon is a hole at the back of the church north of where the chest spawns. Parkouring out can be difficult, so try not to fall in.
• Be careful of Shivers that may spawn here.
• Players can complete parkour near the back of the church to reach the roof.
• A great strategy for camping chests here is to wait in afrodude00007's Family Manor for both the mil_epic chest and the pot_rare chests to respawn.

Trivia

• There used to be a Void Echo here.
• There is a grave dedicated to the retired admin kensai111.
• Frostbain was "renamed" to "Docbain" as of 19/07/2017 as seen by this easter egg.
• On October 1, 2018, Spooky Frostbain was added. It featured most of the buildings being burnt down or ruined, along some giant pumpkins hanging from leaves and a massive carved pumpkin. The massive pumpkin had some difficult parkour with a military chest at the very top of the pumpkin's stem.
  • A secret room was also located under the Frostbain Tavern. It looked much more tavern-like and it had an "oven" with the sign "Pizza!" next to it. You could only get here by crouching through the snow layers under the house and into a hole with ladders leading down.
  • This rebuild returned for Halloween of 2020 and 2021.
  • This location was built by suitaso. His head could be found in the broken part of the Frostbain Tower, where the easter egg is. He also built Spooky Yongton Abbey.
• The town also received a Christmas rebuild in 2020.

• A Lore Block is located inside the Frostbain Church, next to the Frostbain Catacombs entrance:

Frostbain was once a town protected by Agni, God and Goddess of fire. Their warmth shielded this town from the harsh, frozen environment that enveloped much of the southern region. Citizens from across the world came to draw close and gaze upon the magnificence of Agni’s visage, immortalized in stone. Now, the frozen town of Frostbain stands as a stark reminder of the cruelty of the Elemental Gods.
