Lorfaul Mines

Lorfaul Mines is a large and dangerous location on the western edge of the snow continent. There are some parkour challenges to navigate inside the mine, so be cautious. There's also zombie spawners all over the staircase going down, as well as at the bottom.

As of the MineZ Pre-Origins Update the zombie spawnrate was increased and zombie spawners were added, making this location much more dangerous.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• It is suggested to bring plenty of food and water for a prolonged stay.
• Jumps are relatively simple, but very hazardous if failed.
• There are several zombie spawners along the whole stairway and mostly at the bottom of the mine. Be mindful of this as zombies can come out from around corners and knock players off the path and kill them.
• Water can be found 150 blocks to the north, where the river thaws. Also, there is a cauldron at the entrance that may be filled with water.
• Knock zombies into the lava below to dispose of them easily.
• Don't worry about zombie pigmen as this location is below the z= -2000 border.
• This place may not be worth it due to the risks it presents.

Trivia

• There used to be a mini-dungeon here called the Deep Mines which held the legendary Heal Bow. It consisted of pushing buttons and running of zombie pigmen that spawned and easily flooded the place. It was closed on the release of the Re-Code Update as many players deemed it as either frustrating or simply boring to play. Zombie pigmen can still be heard in the mining longue and a small blocked off part is visible on the western side of the mine.
• There's a small cave filled with water located southeast. It is called Water Shrine.
• Three people were needed to stand on three pressure plates to open an iron door to enter, but this was removed on May 12, 2020.
