Auraeus
From Shotbow Wiki
Auraeus was an underground town located between Wind Spire and Aurora. To access this location, you had to step on the dispenser with a wooden pressure plate on top. Then, you were teleported inside a cave. Walk down until you see a branch off, turn right and you would find the gondola, the main means of transportation across the town. Most of the jumps here were both difficult and deadly and most of the time you would be jumping over void.
This location has been removed from the map as of 4/28/2018, due to not fitting in very well with the map and lore of the game.

Travel Advisory/Warnings
- Despite this town having a huge amount of military gear, it is better to stay off this place and go to another location to gear, like Medusa Lake or Septus.
- Getting good loot in this town is almost impossible. Mostly due to the awful spawnrates and the parkour some areas require.
- Water is located in the town cavern, further down.
- Make sure to bring tons of food and healing supplies if you plan to stay here. You'll be taking a lot of fall damage from most parts of this town.
- There are end portals located in a hole at the bottom of the town cavern. These will teleport you out of the town, back into the cave entrance.
- Logging out on the gondola can be fatal, so make sure you're either above one of the many pipes or on a landmass before disconnecting!
- If you try to run across one of the steam runs, do not stop moving. Lag or taking too long to get across can kill you, so it's recommended to avoid these areas if you feel uneasy.
- You won't be able to shoot arrows when aboard the gondola. Nor will people be able to snipe you off the gondola.
- Zombies can spawn almost anywhere here. On top of pipes or on top of the gondola. Try not to let them knock you off into the void.
Trivia
- This location was added for Christmas 2017. It was closed at the beginning of January 2018, but was reopened on 2/12/18 with new loot and a few changes. This includes the removal of crucial Lore Books and the boss room.
- Despite this place being called a town, it is more like a dungeon due to the difficulty and its mechanics.
- The name of the town could be the combination of the Latin words Aura, meaning "Air", and Aureus, meaning "Golden" or "Magnificent".
- The office valve is a reference to the builder of this location, PineFrost64.
