Text Walkthrough
Entrance and First Room (Difficulty: 1 / 10)
- Walk down the tunnel and stand on the mushroom to the left. This will shrink the player and allow them to pass through the leaves on the opposite side of the room that were previously blocking the way
- Continue forward and step on the next mushroom to return to normal size
Mushroom Growing Room (1 / 10)
- Stand on the mushroom to the left. This will shrink the player again and allow them to pass through the leaves on the opposite side of the room that were previously blocking the way
- Enter the small cave on the right and take the Smoldering Torch item from the corpse
- Right click the leaves while holding the Smoldering Torch to burn them, then step on the mushroom to return to normal size
- The block that was previously trapped behind the leaves can now be pushed down a path. Pushing it to the end will cause the mushrooms on top to grow, which will allow the player to parkour across them and continue forwards
Boss Room (2 / 10)
- Drop down into the boss arena and slay the fungal zombie
- It will periodically use an attack which inflicts nearby players with Poison I for 5 seconds, dealing 2 hearts of damage
- Once defeated, it will drop a Fungus Covered Key item. Right click the blocks in front of the office door while holding the item to unlock it
Loot Room (0 / 10)
- Collect the 6 Herbalist's Hideout loot chests and legendary item, then head up the staircase to exit the dungeon into Kaocho
Lore
Lore Book
Spores of Knowledge I - Porcimorel Ostreatus
- The lore block is located in the first room at (11, 46, 17).
I can't believe it!
My hypothesis was correct! There's something special about the toadstools beneath Exolesco... This discovery changes everything! Their incredible properties present endless opportunities. All I need is to grow a few small clusters |
Spores of Knowledge II - Porcimorel Ostreatus
- The lore block is located in the mushroom growing room at (55, 38, -12).
We were so close, yet so far.
This fungi has shown its true form; a toxic toadstool rearing its ugly head. My assistant has fallen deathly ill, spores growing about him, with no end in sight. Will I meet the same fate? |
Fungal Finality - Porcimorel Ostreatus
- The lore block is located in the boss room at (51, 46, 2).
All my research, my travels and discoveries, means nothing now.
This accursed fungus has enchanted me with potential, only to ensnare me in its mycelium. My only hope is to die with dignity and to know that those who find my sporous remains understand I died a pioneer of mycology. I pray that anyone who finds my work may heed my warning, those caverns below Exolesco are not as they seem. |
Travel Advisory / Warnings
- This dungeon can easily be completed with only spawn kit items
- Toadstool Pottage is an incredibly helpful legendary item in assisting with hard parkour
- The player is able to skip the first mushroom that returns them to normal size by briefly stepping on its edge to parkour to the ledge past it. This allows them to stay small while entering the next room, instead of having to shrink again
Trivia
- The lore books found throughout the dungeon imply that the boss zombie is Porcimorel Ostreatus, and that the dead body holding the Smoldering Torch item is his assistant
- The caverns below Exolesco mentioned in the Fungal Finality lore book refer to Exolesco Tunnels, a removed dungeon that contained mushrooms with similar size-changing abilities to the ones in this dungeon
- The dungeon was previously located below Fungal Shack
