Frosted Ruin

Overview of the ruin's exterior

Frosted Ruin is what the name implies. Bordering the ice river near Raven's Roost, there's some light parkour over a frozen stream in a cave, leading to some decent military loot. The entrance to Maze of the Tenth can be found here.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• Few players stay here for long, but many will pass through to get to Maze of the Tenth. They aren't likely to have much gear, so they won't be likely to attack if unprovoked.
• All the chests are on the path above the ice stream, except for the mil_rare. If jumping down to get it, the player'll have to run a considerable distance downstream to climb back up.
  • A grapple can be used to skip the parkour jumps, or to get back to the Maze entrance after picking up the mil_rare.
  • There's the possiblity of doing a 1 block, 1 up diagonal jump to save some time in getting back to the Maze entrance.
• The quickest way to escape without going into Maze is to jump out of the alcove to the east, taking only 2-3 hearts of fall damage at most when doing this.

Trivia

• Mountain Ice Cavern used to be here. This location was added in its place on May 4th, 2021.
• This location bears some similarities to Flooded Ruin.
