Text Walkthrough

Climbing The Mountain

  • Before you enter the dungeon you must climb the steep mountain to reach the entrance
  • You can climb most of the way up on the south side, and can then walk around the mountain to reach the entrance on the north side
    • Alternatively, if you have a Weak Grapple, you can grapple up the north side with 2-3 pulls

Entrance/Staircase

  • Enter the dungeon instance by stepping on the plate and walking down the staircase until you find a root which crosses over the hole
  • Cross over the root and fall back onto the staircase
  • Continue until you hit a dead end and cross the root nearest to that. Continue down to the bottom

Entrance to the Maze

  • Find the button near the water fountain at the bottom. Press it to be teleported randomly to one of several spawn points
    • Remember to take a drink of water before you start! This is the last water refill until the end of the dungeon

The Maze/Loot Room

  • Follow this map and try to get to these coordinates: -20 33 92.
    • Watch out for Zombie Pigmen because there are spawners scattered throughout the hallways of the maze
  • Once you find the end, push the wooden button found on the tree root at the end of the hallway to open the door to the loot room
  • Congratulations, you've beat Maze of the Tenth! Collect your loot found throughout the room and step on the stone plate at the back of the room to leave
    • When you leave the dungeon you'll be teleported on top of the mountain above the entrance. Climb down from here to leave the dungeon and continue your journey!

Travel Advisory/Warnings

  • This is one of the furthest south locations where Zombie Pigmen can spawn. Body Offload's boss room beats this by being slightly more than 100 blocks further south.
  • Be sure to bring high amounts of food - the climb up the mountain to reach the entrance along with completing the dungeon itself will deplete your hunger quickly.
  • The maze itself contains many Zombies and Zombie Pigmen in addition to the spawners lining the spiral staircase leading into the maze. Tread with caution, and don't stay too long in any specific area.
  • The path to the maze features a long stairway circling an empty chamber down to the floor with large branches crossing the gaps. Be careful as Zombies may push you to your doom!
  • This dungeon sees higher player traffic as the legendary item found here has many uses. Bandits and Dungeoneers alike often include this location in their gearing route.

Trivia

  • There's a fake exit at -297, 33, -550. If you press the button, the wall with the broken stone bricks disappears and you can enter a room with some skeleton skulls, full cauldrons and a single iron door. If you stand on the pressure plate in front of the iron door, it will open it, revealing a dead end trap with a sign reading "Get Rekt".
  • A small room located at -108, 33, -580 contains three graves, referring to the three builders that built this dungeon (Anskar, demon_peanut and Gallihad).
  • Down the spiral staircase, at -222, 100, -544, there's an odd-looking wall with a similar pattern of those seen at Eclipsed Ruins.
  • The entrance down into the dungeon is likely based off of the Quinta da Regaleira Palace's Initiation Wells, which were used for ceremonial purposes.
