Revision as of 12:13, 15 March 2021
Grayvale is an island city accessible only with a button, unless you have the ability to grapple inside or use a special legendary such as the Rabbit's Feet. The islands are connected by bridges. The bridges are full of holes, and should thus be crossed with caution. This place is a good source of high-tier weapons and armor, as well as health potions. However, basic equipment is absent, there is no crafting table and the only food source is in the throne room in form of 4 cakes. If you are heading there you might want to stop there check chests then head to Fort McHarlington.

Travel Advisory/Warnings
- You must be able to parkour to get to some places in the city.
- You cannot damage boost or block glitch up onto an island, however if you have a weak grapple you can get up on the lower islands.
- To enter the walls and towers of Grayvale around the main plaza you have to use a button is in the Southern gateway or just grapple.
- Falling from the bridges usually is not fatal, however, you will need a button to re-enter, so be careful.
- The Northwestern tower has a hole on the first floor that if you fall through you'll be permanently stuck down there if you don't have a grapple.
- Doing a run from the two furthest-apart chests will give time for all chests to respawn.
- The only entrance is an iron door at the Northern tower. You can also use a grapple to get in.
- While entering watch for other players already in the city as they can shoot you with bows or throw grenades while you are vulnerable in the open water.
- With a large enough group (6-12 people) you can easily camp chests, defend the city, and stock up on supplies all at the same time. If you wanted to you could even use it as a base.
- The church is guarded by a series of pressure plates which launch potions of harming but can be avoided by jumping along the fences. There is a hidden tunnel in the church that allows for an escape into the ocean below and also contains a mil_rare chest.
- For the Southwestern tower, you have to go through the south opening of the church, head west and down a few grass blocks. You will be close to a cliff but there will be another grass block. Hug the wall of the tower and get to the other side. Jump up some blocks and you'll be inside the tower. To get out, go back the way you came.
- Make sure no zombies follow you or they will push you off the island.

- In the marketplace there is a hidden mil_epic chest which is accessed by dropping a item in the center of the fountain.
- The next source of health potions on the way north is Virway Tower.
Trivia
- There was a Void Echo here.
- East of the church, there's a grave on an island with a sign reading: "Here lies the hopes and dreams of the Casual Chat TS."
- Below the church itself, there used to be a sign that says: "Note to self. Sky cells." It could only be reached via grapple.
- The original build was submitted to Shotbow by IamMclovin.
- This location was rebuilt for the Origins Update in 2020.
Lore
There's a Lore Book here, outside of the city on the dock:
Grayvale - Captain's Log
Day 67: We hit a northern wind and we found this glorious suspended city after spotting it from the ship! We approached the entrance and were turned around by it's inhabitance. As we see no other alternative we have decided to leave. We have no intention of leaving this city unscathed so we are firing a corpse over the walls to see how they feel about their choice as we continue north. Even though we have plenty of rations on board, I sure wish this city had some gold for us! |
