Travel Advisory/Warnings
- Clarce is not far from here if you need potions or basic equipment.
- The nearest water refill is found on the icy river, just over 100 blocks east-northeast from here.
- The brewing stand is in the jail room and does not require a button to access.
- To cook food here, head up to the northeast tower and drop down to the trapdoors at (352,-2243). Your food will probably burn if you try to throw it anywhere else.
- The Emerald Shard here is the easiest one to obtain. Simply pick it up from the corpse in the green tent.
- It is recommended to stay a few blocks away (around 40) from the fort to let chests respawn.
- Players practically never approach Fort Z from the north. They will either be coming from Fort Erie to obtain the Emerald Shard, or from Clarce to obtain some basic military supplies.
- This gives you an advantage when looting this location: Because the only entrance is on the north side, you will be able to spot player's nametags long before they reach you.
- This is a decent location to camp if you wish to obtain chain armor in relative safety and quiet.
- Iron can spawn here, but the likelihood of obtaining it is very small. It is best to head North to other destinations such as Fort Saward or Death Mansion.
Trivia
- Fort Z shared the exact same design as one of the Ruined Forts located in the Snow Biome Northeast of Evergreen Manor. The only difference between the two is the large yellow flag that Fort Z has. It is unclear why these forts share the same design or if they're connected in any way. As of the MineZ Origins update, Fort Z was rebuilt and Ruined Fort was removed.
- This location is very close to the center of the MineZ map.
- Fort Z was the only location to have an Emerald Shard both before and after the April 2021 Spring Cleaning update.
