Fort Saward is a giant fortress sitting near the volcanoes up north. It has a crafting table as well as good military gear. Beware of the four zombie spawners in the throne room. Fort Saward is a good spot to get good gear up north and it's close to a lot of dungeons like Mount Therum and Mantle, located behind the giant walls east of the fort, and Saward Crypt, which is located southeast from the fort.

Travel Advisory/Warnings
- There are a total of 4 zombie spawners in the throne room, so once in the throne room, run for a ladder to avoid any zombies/pigmen that have spawned.
- Although the chance of Zombie Pigmen spawning here is low, they can still spawn at the spawner, most likely around the throne or on the roof.
- Stock up on lots of health potions before coming here. The nearest place with health potions is Hell Tree or Frostbain, which are both a considerable distance away.
- The amount of small rooms here makes it easy to fend off zombies.
- There is a water source here south of the fort and at the entrance.
- Standing on the roof is a very good spot for farming the 4 mil_rares and the mil_epic, and to easily get 1 mil_epic (break it to get the loot). To get the 2nd one, run fast on the throne, kill the zombies, take the loot & sprint to the ladders.
- The crafting table is located in the storage on the lower level of the fort.
- The brewing stands are located at the board room, which need a button to enter and contains a chest.
- Use the ladders in the throne room or even on the front of the fort to avoid and fight zombies.
- This is a good location to get chain and iron as few bandits come here, and the fact that the spawner only occasionally spawn pigmen makes this place a good alternative from Crowmure, which is highly bandit-populated.
Trivia
- This build was submitted by Miner_roy. He also made the dungeon underneath it and his grave can be found in it.
- Tiny Dock is nearby.
