The Bridges and Stairways consist of minor structures that connect the different areas and locations in the MineZ world, mainly a single staircase and multiple bridges found in the plateaus up north, the staircases found in the northeastern jungle and the singular Continental Bridge that connects Romero and Carmi with Birch Tree's island found in between. There are also various smaller bridges found around the map.

The Continental Bridge is a large and ruined stone brick bridge that connects the towns Romero and Carmi together, making it a good way to go from the South Eastern part of the map to the Middle-South part of the map. The bridge has some torches on the sides that light up the path and it is slightly ruined, having leaves covering some parts of it and certain parts of it are completely destroyed leaving holes that can potentially be fallen through.

Travel Advisory/Warnings
Going to Birch Tree is not worth the trip as it contains a single food chest. If you do get there, you might as well swim up to St. Roseluck Island, which is located to the north from there.
+
There are holes in some of the bridges here, some of which (particularly on the eastern side) are above land, and can prove fatal if fallen into.

These small wooden bridges connect the different plateaus in the canyons. They are extremely useful when traversing this area and because of this they're very popular, mostly amongst groups of bandits. There are a total of 9 bridges, but one of them (Death Mansion - Fort Kharj) is broken down and cannot be crossed.

Revision as of 19:24, 27 March 2022

The Bridges and Stairways consist of minor structures that connect the different areas and locations in the MineZ world, mainly a single staircase and multiple bridges found in the plateaus up north, the staircases found in the northeastern jungle and the singular Continental Bridge that connects Romero and Carmi with Birch Tree's island found in between. There are also various smaller bridges found around the map.

Continental Bridge

The Continental Bridge as seen from the northeast, with Romero visible in the background

It is not recommended to jump down into the water even when running away from danger as the only way back to land is to swim back to the middle island, Romero or Carmi.

Trivia

  • North of the Southern Stairway on the plateau's wall there's the Dragon Wall Carving. It is a small, animated stone brick dragon. It spews "fire" out of its mouth and blinks. Getting too close to it will make it growl like an Ender Dragon.
    • Around 2013, the dragon used to have gold blocks instead of red-stained clay and it wasn't animated.
  • Aside from the Spooky Wagon tree, there used to be another tree located under the Long Bridge. Unlike Spooky Wagon, it had some flowers around it.
  • The plateau bridges have received at least 2 small changes through the years.
    • The first was the holes in them being "patched" to make walking on them less dangerous. This, in the end, made fighting on them a bit easier and have fewer casualties.
    • The second change was adding spruce wood planks to some of them and later on to all. The first was the three out of four bridges that connect to Al Hasa's plateau.
  • Wizard's Pass is considered another passageway as all of the others mentioned on this page. It has its own page due to its unique name, purpose, and style when compared to the bridges and stairways.
  • The Southern Stairway used to be made out of stone brick and, at some point, some stone slabs. It went straight down into the bottom of the canyons instead of being built into the walls of the canyon.
  • A large figure resembling a penguin with an open orange beak and bloodshot eyes performing what seems to be a 'T-Pose' surrounded by snow is often seen in and around the canyons and even other locations in the Christmas season. Its name is Waddles and multiple versions of it have been spotted on Christmas. Its true purpose is unknown besides looking comically disturbing to many.
  • Close to Death Mansion there used to be a Northern Stairway and the North Bridge (Death Mansion - Fort Kharj). These were both removed during the PTR for the Re-Code Update to make getting to the volcano area from the canyons not as easy.
    • The bridge wasn't completely erased from the map. Instead, it was simply "destroyed" and it went through 3 versions during PTR.
  • The Continental Bridge was rebuilt for the Re-Code Update. The old one was decorated with lapis lazuli and some emerald blocks; water could also be seen flowing inside the bridge itself.
  • Bindpoint Ridge and Trammelpoint Ridge were added in place of bridges and stairways, and contain many bridges and stairways themselves.
  • The Al Hasa - Sunken Tower bridge and Noodle Bridge were rebuilt for Halloween 2021, becoming Bone Bridge and Flying Cauldron respectively.
    • Flying Cauldron contained deadly timed parkour to reach chests on the cauldron, from where you could teleport to Bindpoint Ridge.
