Aurora is an underground mining town in the Cave System. The town is set in the ice and is built around a central tree. It is one of the deepest towns in the Cave System, so get plenty of food before you attempt to get here. Food and military gear can be found here, as well as potions. On May 9, 2020, Aurora received a rebuild as part of the Origins update.

Travel Advisory/Warnings
- One of the deepest towns in the cave system. Barathrum Caverns, the deepest cave town is located to the NorthEast of here, and you must pass by Aurora to access it.
- While the loot here is well rounded, players do not frequent this place because of its remoteness and distance from major PVP hotspots.
- There is a crafting table in the entrance to the mine.
- There is one usable brewing stand hidden in the pillar room, behind the ice blocks.
- Heading straight west from Riftus will get you here easily.
- There is only one entrance/exit.
- You must bring a friend and a total of 3 buttons if you wish to loot this place fully.
- If you're lucky, you can get buttons from the lone tool chest found here and use it on one of the button-only rooms.
- As a single person, you can survive indefinitely here. There's plenty of water, the stand chest gives adequate food for survival, and the crafting tables allow for the creation of cookies and bread.
- To get to the 2 pots_rare chests you need 2 buttons and 2 people. Place the buttons on the 2 chiseled stone bricks located on the northern wall of the temple and get your partner to press one of the buttons. When you do so, a passage will open up between the chiseled blocks. Go in quick and claim your loot before the doorway closes. To get back out simply press the button located near the entrance to the room.
- If you are short on food, it is a good idea to head to Krubera if you need some.
- A good place to stock up on chain/iron armor, pots, water bottles, and basic supplies before you attempt the Barathrum Caverns, which is nearby.
- If you want to loot the place easily, do it in a clockwise direction.
- This town can be hard to find if you don't know where it is, so be sure to set a waypoint or use coordinates to access.
- Going in the area with the stairs and lava can be fatal if you are not careful. Hug the left wall and you'll be fine.
- One of the cave towns that can spawn health potions; because of this there is a very small chance you will encounter a player here, who may or may not be a bandit.
Trivia
- On March 11, 2018, the ice inside Aurora's cave melted to the point the entire location became completely flooded, quickly getting the nickname of Flooded Aurora or even blaming it on Global Warming for the disaster as a joke. Some of the parkour-only areas were reachable along with some unreachable ones, it was incredibly difficult to traverse and the only places that weren't submerged in water were the church and the temple. It was quickly fixed a few hours after the incident was reported. A video in the completely trashed location can be found here.
- This town was originally built by Wholemilk, BOTB_Justalittle, Coltsnid, Nickskibike, Bionic_Prodigy and a few other friends of theirs. There are even graves with Wholemilk's, Coltsnid's, Nickisbike's and Bionic's names on them.
Lore
- There's a Lore Book here, at the mine's entrance. Most of the terminologies and events mentioned in the Lore Book reference the playstyle, common occurences and game mechanics of the MineZ world from a player's perspective.

Day 1: This is the day that I have always planned for! I knew that one day the fools above would end up messing something up. It's a good thing that I have always worked to horde all of the materials I need down here. Now I just have to wait. Day 17: Day 28: Day 47: Day 123: Day 285: Day 464: Day 973: Day 1462: Day 2152: |
