* It is unlikely to encounter players in this location. If encountered, take advantage of the terrain. It is very easy to die of fall damage here, and the deadly lake can make a strong camping spot with a good bow.
* The presence of an Epic chest here, in addition to well rounded military and tool loot makes it a fantastic place to camp without being bothered by other players.

* Although zombies are mostly absent from this location, be on the lookout for wolf packs or the occasional [[Special:MyLanguage/MineZ Mobs#Shiver|Shiver]].
*Because of the grave yard, the presence of 4 tool chests, and the overall lack of players, this make Altin one of the best places on the map to camp for buttons.

*If you are bleeding or infected, the nearest location with civilian loot is Ephirion.

A screenshot of the upper area of Altin

Altin is an underground town located in the Cave System. Players can get here through the cave near the stairs at the Southern Intersection. Deeper in the caves nearby is Ephirion, which has food chests. The majority of the chests give high-tier tool loot. Altin also contains 3 mil_rares, which can yield some basic supplies to fight with.

Thanks to the graveyard, the tool_uncommon chests, and the lack of players, Altin is an exceedingly good place to find buttons and small bags.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

  • The brewing stands are located in _SealClubber's Squeal and Deal.
  • There's a closet in the house next to Therum's Shrine that has several red mushrooms.
  • It is unlikely to encounter players in this location. If encountered, take advantage of the terrain. It is very easy to die of fall damage here, and the deadly lake can make a strong camping spot with a good bow.
  • Although zombies are mostly absent from this location, be on the lookout for wolf packs or the occasional Shiver.

Trivia

  • This was a location added on October 1st, 2017. The light blue stained glass "crystals" that cover some walls and ceilings of the cave were originally orange.

  • There's a list of shipments in the mineshaft. The places listed are Eillom, Mining Town, Al Hasa, Frostine Valley Acres, Whitehaven and Yongton Abbey.
    • The time for the Al Hasa Shipments is a reference to the time of Suicide Saturday, a time during the weekend when clans get together to PVP each other. SS has since been pushed forward two hours, to 7:00 PM EST.
  • The word Altin is a reference to a village of the same name found in the game Golden Sun.
  • Some graves are named after the builders of this location (Avviore, Derussiander, FlyingSquid, Valkyrion, 66tee, PineFrost64)
    • One grave was named "Here Lies NOT Jacsebalon" due to the sheer number of graves on the map with his name on them; For example, an old build iteration of Arbreton had four of them.

Lore

  • There's a Lore Book related to Therum's Shrine here. It is located in the well.

Letters - Armoni

Mother,
We hope your travels to the Goddess' shrine are well. It must be different to travel so far away from home, I don't know how you do it! In turn though, we miss you greatly. It's not home without you.
-Blessings,
Armoni
