WiR: Modes

There are currently three modes to When in Rogue. These include Normal, Hard Mode and Ironman. Each mode you complete gives a slightly different little symbol next to your name in chat.

Normal

This is the beginner mode. You have infinte lives, but you get revived with only one heart. Mobs will deal base damage and will have base health when spawned. Normal is represented by a Stone Brick (Stronghold), Jungle Leaves (Jungle) and Ice (Ice - Unavailable). After completion, you will gain a green symbol next to your name.

Hard

This is the harder difficulty. You will be given 3 lives, and will replenish all lives after every floor. Mobs will deal 50% more damage and will have 50% more health when spawned. It is unlocked by beating Normal and is only available through use of a party (Note: Parties are a premium only feature). Hard Mode is represented by a Mossy Stone Brick (Stronghold), JungIe Wood (Jungle) and Snow (Ice - Unavailable). After completion, your green symbol will change into a yellow symbol next to your name.

Ironman

This is the hardest difficulty. You will be given a single life, and once dead, cannot be revived. Your life will be replenished if your teammates complete the level. Mobs will deal 50% more damage and will have 50% more health when spawned. It is unlocked by beating Hard Mode and is only available through the use of a party (Note: Parties are a premium only feature). Ironman is represented by a Cracked Stone Brick (Stronghold), Mossy Cobblestone (Jungle) and a Pumpkin (Ice - Unavailable). After completion, your yellow symbol will change into a red symbol next to your name.
