On the 27th of October 2012, Romero was replaced with a darker Halloween themed town, known as Spooky Romero. Many of the original buildings are still around, and some were re-purposed, becoming the house of webs, and the death house, etc. All of the water was replaced with lava. This was added back for Halloween 2015.

Another version was built for Halloween 2018, which contained 2 giant skeletons with mil_epic chests located on the hands and mouths. The biome has also been changed to Mesa, which changes the color of the grass and leaves, which is usually green.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• Lava is present, as it has replaced all the normal water sources, be especially careful in the sewers.
  • There are, however, a few water sources placed around the town so you don't dehydrate.
• The death house provides 10 'fun' ways to die, but when you go inside, you can't get out unless you have a grapple. The 10 ways to die are Fall Damage, Zombies, Lava, Potions, Cactus, Drowning, Void, Boredom, and Suffocating.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• The parkour required to get the chests on the windmill giant skeleton is rather difficult and most likely deadly if you fail. It is recommended you do the one southern one as it is easier. You can start by jumping onto the left hand from Ferustorva Family Manor's roof.
• The lava located under the southern giant skeleton is covered by barrier blocks, therefore you cannot fall in.

Trivia (2018)

• Inside the windmill part that's being grabbed by the giant skeleton, there's a sign reading "M I L K".
• The Medium House near Huni's Animal Trading Company has been turned into a giant human head in the shape of a house. The sign "F L E S H H O U S E" is located inside.
