Saens

Saens is a tribal village located in the desert on the east side of the map. It consists of several primitive houses with a great deal of farmland. The town consists of relatively diverse loot, making it a good spot to gather supplies before trying any of the dungeons in the area. It is also a good stop for players heading north up to Agni Ignis and Sercaul. While this town is generally safe from bandits, be careful of players who have just compeleted Desert Canyon Sanctuary, as they may have powerful legendary items.

While Saens has a lot of farmland, it has very few food chests. This does mean that cows spawn here, which can help in crafting a small bag. Players who are short on food can travel to the nearby Pileus, or up north to Sercaul. Saens is decent for farming civilian and tool loot, with the potion chest being a good refill for players who haven't restocked on potions. There is also some middle tier military loot, though it's nothing special.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• The crafting table is in the Northernmost hut, at the coordinates X=3366 Z=-1609
• Lingering too long will most likely spawn some zombies around the village. Husks can also spawn here.
• Zombies rarely spawn inside of the town, but staying will cause zombies to collect in groups.
• This is a good place to stop at while going to nearby dungeons in the "Dungeon Desert" like Desert Canyon Sanctuary.
• This is a great place to get high-tier civ loot in the East.
• Staying here long may be risky, as players may come here in search of bags and other high-tier civ loot.

Trivia

• The original location is named after the person who submitted it, Saenii. His reddit post can be found here.
• This location used to be a small collection of huts north of Carmi. This iteration of the build has since been destroyed, being replaced by Scorched Camp.
• This location received a rebuild on the August 15 2015. The roofs of the houses were changed to haybale and some of the jungle wood was mixed in with oak wood, and the location was moved to an entirely different location.
• This location received another rebuild on September 10, 2020. This rebuild was made by EnderMCx, and this is the version of the build that players can visit today.
• Saens was rebuilt for Halloween 2021.
