Pileus

The town seen from the northwest

Pileus is a village suspended beneath a giant red mushroom located in the mushroom biome, south of the jungle. The loot is mostly food-oriented, but it also contains some military and civilian loot, too. Players come here to stock up on food to move on to Agni Ignis or other locations.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• There's a crafting table in the southernmost hanging house at (3779, 116, -1438).
• It is one of two locations located in the mushroom biome, the other being PurpleSunshine Humble Abode.
• Be careful when tackling the zombies as there is a danger they will knock players down to ground level.
• Good location to camp since it has weapons, food and water.
• Pileus is one of the last great food spots before going into the dangerous Northern parts of the map like Zerbia, Floating Islands, Al Hasa, and Agni Ignis.

Trivia

• Pileus's top used to be brown when it was first added as a build submission by Ipchaon, although the builders decided to change it to a red color because it fits the actual vanilla red mushroom better.
• The pileus is the horizontal portion of a mushroom, otherwise known as the mushroom's cap.
• This location was rebuilt for Halloween 2021 to look like an alien with many eyes, dubbed Eyelius.
