Al Hasa Quarry

Overview of the quarry.

Al Hasa Quarry is a dilapidated quarry in the gravel plateau South of Al Hasa and East of Camp Kharj. Decent military and tool loot can be found here. The quarry is one of the few places in the gravel plateaus where high tier tools and sugar can be found reliably, so the occasional player may visit. Sunken Tower is about 200 blocks to the East.

Travel Advisory/Warnings

• This is one of the two locations in the remote gravel mountains with crafting tables. The other crafting table is in the basement of Fort Kharj.
• The biggest threat at Al Hasa Quarry is other players. Bandits who are running to Al Hasa may stop here for a quick military restock or to craft something. If somebody who is fighting at Hasa decides to run across Short Bridge, there may have a large group of well-geared PVPers arriving to this location.
• It is easy to fall down and die here. Zombies are especially threatening here, as they may knock players off.
• Buttons are common here, making it a good location to collect them before heading to locations such as Fort Kharj or Death Mansion.
• Very rarely, Zombie Pigmen will fall into the bottom of the quarry from above (causing them to explode), so be careful.
• If in need of potions, go east to Sunken Tower, north to Al Hasa, or south to Eillom. All of these locations receive relatively high player traffic. In addition, going to Eillom will require a drop-down into the canyon, Sunken Tower is littered with zombie spawners, and Al Hasa is the most trafficked town on the entire map.
• There are two zombie spawners here at the bottom of the quarry.

Trivia

• The original version of this location was a build submission done by Scythos. The Reddit post for it can be found here.
• This location was rebuilt again for the Road Less Traveled update. This rebuild is similar to its previous iteration, but it is smaller in size and lacks Undead Miners and the TNT Charge mechanic.
• This location uses the block pushing mechanic found in Abandoned Mineshaft
